My dear mother, my dearest friend The kind that will always lend a helping hand. Will always listen in times of sadness and joy The kind whose company I always enjoy. My dear mother, happy birthday to you Never doubt my respect and love for you. You truly deserve all my praise By always being there for me in so many ways. You’ve taught me the sense of fashion The value of kindness and passion. You taught me the fine cuisine And to dress with style, it runs in the gene. You’ve taught me the appreciation for music and art And your mentoring went straight from the heart. You’ve taught me the importance of education And the art of an interesting conversation. You taught me how to be respectful and polite And how to make one’s company a delight. You taught me to take everything from life And to enjoy a lifestyle without strife. Thank you for always being there for me In times of sickness and sorrow to a great degree In times of happiness and joy Our fun times together I always enjoy. I will always cherish the memories of our travel And so many other nice times to unravel. Like our trips to the Caribbean islands or Crete And our outings to the theater and restaurants’ treat. I admire your generosity and your kindness Your tact and your politeness Your sensitivity and compassion Your support in such an understanding fashion.
